Never has being Weird been so normal...

We should all go see this film...

That is, were it actually real and not a brilliant bit of satire and fun.

The device for reclining-- oh, freely.

Of course, the best way to recline is Warnick style, on couches, which is the way the rabbis of the Mishnah had their Seder. But if one is so orthodox that once would never make any changes, well, then 90 shekels can get you this wonder of modern Israeli technology.

And both of them have nukes?

A clip about the closing of the border between India and Pakistan. Yes, there is wacky facial hair, bizzare walking about, and of course, bugles. Awkward as it is, it's better than many borders, as say, between North and South Korean, Israel and Lebanon, or Iran and everyone else.

And if the Wiki is right, this ceremony has been toned down. Imagine what it used to be like.
Sheesh.

Israel defends herself, and her camels.

20 years too late, the government of the state of Israel is finally fighting back against the notoriously biased European media coverage. A series of three spots from the Hasbara office are not only accurate, they are rather funny. Covering the brits, french and Spaniards, it's hysterical (the second half of each spot is in hebrew). The french bit has the french nightly news showing Independence day footage and claiming it's Israelis rallying for war; the third is starts in spanish, showing Israelis cooking out for Independence day and claiming that ISraeli homes have neither gas nor electricity, so they must cook outdoors. She tries a skewer of meat, saying "it's primitive, but tasty."

I'm not sure but I think this may have been me

It could have been worse -- all kinds of bodily fluids could have come out of him in the aisles.

"Я очень рад" means "Very Warnickian"

It's about 93% on the Warnick-ometer. It's "Я очень рад, ведь я, наконец, возвращаюсь домой,” and you will be singing it as you drive your kids to school...

For the bastards who oppose healthcare reform again and again....

Another more serious aside.

Yes, fine, Oblerman's the devil, blah blah blah. I've heard it before, and this is different. This is powerful stuff, with two messages in it: one for planning ahead for serious care, and one damming those who put the wealth Insurance corporations over the needs of Americans. For those who mutter bitter propaganda about death panels and think Sarah Palin is worthy of any time at all, I throw down the gauntlet and say "watch this, for he is speaking to YOU."

Perhaps some of the best oration by a TV anchor in a decade.
