Chestnuts roasting on a Linuxed based e-Fire and a movie to watch.

And for all you members of the Bah-Humbug club, here's something even worse than telling a Christian kid that santa isn't real. You could tell them this:

This is @#$%ing awesome!

OK Go are known for their videos, but this thing is genius. One take (or so it seems, with what are probably 2 or 3 perfectly hidden edits). Supremely fabulous. 95% Warnickian. What a delight.

NSFW, but it looks like fun.

I project this movie will be like cilantro: loved or hated. It also could be that the best of this movie is in the trailer, in which case, oh well, too bad. However, if this trailer is just a preview, it should be awesome (but stupid) fun. It also stars Natalie Portman, who in this trailer appears to be about to go swimming wearing a - oh, just watch it. The trailer is rated R for references to just about everything and combinations of the F, S, V, Q and P words, so listen in a discreet locale.

Even Better than Southwest? Why, yes.

Flight 299 to - but wait- what's this? Music? Techno?
Katy Perry?

To any sensitive female readers, especially wives, I can only say, what a terrible shame these women have to degrade themselves like this to keep their jobs.

To men and women with a sense of humor: Wow! That was fun- and oh, just a weeee! bit sexy. Would it be so bad if more airlines did this?

For now though, since this was a Philippine airline, you'll only see this when flying from Manila to Bacolod, Calbayog, Catarman, Cebu, Kalibo, Legaspi or Tuguegarao.

In a galaxy farm far a- what the hell?

For an acid trip without LSD, follow these simple steps:

1) Review in your mind the original Star Wars cast and ideas: stormtroopers, C3PO, etc.
2) Relax. Press Play.
3) Watch.

It's that easy! A realistic, hallucinatory experience awaits.

Oh, now this is 61 kinds of awesome.

From WFMU, 61 versions of Tico-tico. Liberace, a Jazz Philharmonic, Xavier Cugat.... just try out 4 and see if it doesn't make you smile.

Add the performance of Steve Goodman and Jethro Burns below, and you've got a whopping 62.

Leave it to the BBC to gamble big and bring Sherlock into the age of tweets and blogs. I would predict disaster, but the two writers are those responsible for bringing Doctor Who out of the abyss, so this could be good. Or it could be very, very good. Judge for yourself.

Step right up and get your red hot cup of viral content.

Now if only Jews had this kind of culture and joy at their weddings. Sadly, this seems to be only found in Latino or Phillpino communities-- at least, that's what they seem to be- they keep using foreign words I don't know.

Totally Warnickian.

While nothing can match the meme that is "I'm so happy because I'm going home", this little bit of vegan combat is %95 Warnickain. It will be hard to top.

From the blog of british TV writer Graham Linehan, comes this chunk of Bollywood brilliance. Rated R for absurd amounts of action in a very short period of time. You will say out loud "No way!" To which you can be sure I am saying "Way!" 90% Warnickian.

CeeLo Green may use the F, S, and N words on this one (and maybe the J and Q words too), but you won't notice after a while because the song is genius in its way. Would have been great to have it back in high school.

Jane Austen's WHAT?

The trend to put wacky modern things in victorian literature is trend that is now starting to loose steam, but like "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies," the trend shambles on. But this is a new take: what if fight club took place among...Victorian-era women?

Muppets! Queen! Comedy!

A snapshot of what the world would have been like if Jim Henson hadn't died so damned early- or a tatse of what could be if the Muppet Show ever came back....

Another Oldie but goo- oh, Dear Lord.

Chilled celery log? Rosy Perfection Salad? Mackerel Casserole? The collection of diet recipe cards from the 1970's clearly work on the principle that if the food is that icky, you just won't eat it and that way, you will loose weight. The captions and the comments make this site a classic.

The device for reclining-- oh, freely.

Of course, the best way to recline is Warnick style, on couches, which is the way the rabbis of the Mishnah had their Seder. But if one is so orthodox that once would never make any changes, well, then 90 shekels can get you this wonder of modern Israeli technology.

And both of them have nukes?

A clip about the closing of the border between India and Pakistan. Yes, there is wacky facial hair, bizzare walking about, and of course, bugles. Awkward as it is, it's better than many borders, as say, between North and South Korean, Israel and Lebanon, or Iran and everyone else.

And if the Wiki is right, this ceremony has been toned down. Imagine what it used to be like.
Sheesh.

Israel defends herself, and her camels.

20 years too late, the government of the state of Israel is finally fighting back against the notoriously biased European media coverage. A series of three spots from the Hasbara office are not only accurate, they are rather funny. Covering the brits, french and Spaniards, it's hysterical (the second half of each spot is in hebrew). The french bit has the french nightly news showing Independence day footage and claiming it's Israelis rallying for war; the third is starts in spanish, showing Israelis cooking out for Independence day and claiming that ISraeli homes have neither gas nor electricity, so they must cook outdoors. She tries a skewer of meat, saying "it's primitive, but tasty."

For the bastards who oppose healthcare reform again and again....

Another more serious aside.

Yes, fine, Oblerman's the devil, blah blah blah. I've heard it before, and this is different. This is powerful stuff, with two messages in it: one for planning ahead for serious care, and one damming those who put the wealth Insurance corporations over the needs of Americans. For those who mutter bitter propaganda about death panels and think Sarah Palin is worthy of any time at all, I throw down the gauntlet and say "watch this, for he is speaking to YOU."

Perhaps some of the best oration by a TV anchor in a decade.

The simple joy of a love song, acapella.

So when Stephen Merrit wrote one of the great love songs, it was for an album of 69 love songs, meant to be sung by four drag queens. He wrote the song, "The Book of Love," and it became beloved to those who had heard of the album or his band "the Magnetic Fields," even though it remained far from pop music success. The song is both witty and yearning and lovely. It is also written by an openly gay man, so fundamentalists Christians, please don't listen- you may be moved by it.

Of course, the album became an underground success, but when Peter Gabriel did a cover of "Book of Love" in 2004, it began to reach the mainstream. When that cover was used in the finale of "Scrubs," well, that made it explode into the limelight. And it's all over the place now.

But acapella groups have a way of finding these songs long before the rest of us, and here is last year's Harmony Sweepstakes champions singing the tune in a fantastic arrangement. Turn the speakers up, and call the wife into the room for it. And yes, it has been used for wedding proposals, which I am not sure if the author of the song would love or be annoyed with. Probably both....
