State of the Warnickian world? Warnickian +2

Okay, so it's been four months since the last post. It probably would have been longer.

But then I saw the following vid, and it's high Warnickian quotient of 91% demanded it be posted.

Egads!

Music Break!

Here's a solid cover of "Killer Queen." It's good work.

It also reminds you just how talented Queen was as a rock band.

Nihongo Slide desuka!

Playgrounds have gotten weak on fun and all about safety since when we were kids. Remember these rockets?

Long since torn down because they were "too dangerous." And because homeless men slept in them at night and gang members left them reeking of pee.

But in Japan, there's a 51 meter long playground slide that's finally a step in the right direction.

Oh yeah.

Even more awesome because you missed Dollhouse

For a place full of imperialist opressors, they seem so nice!

The TV show "Glee" irritates me a great deal- Jane Lynch being the best part of the show- and I wish they had used the original. But this is a great video, not only because it shows Hebrew University, but also shows how young and wonderful the students are.

I dare you, I double dare you.

A wedding video so weird, it nearly broke the Warnick-ometer. We had to recalibrate to "WTF" setting level 9. 92% Warnickian...

I dare you to listen to it . . . twice.

From the most excellent of blogs Carl Sandburg Visits Me in a Dream (which is still occasionally updated even while the dude is in medical school!) came my discovery of The Asteroids. This song of thiers is so catchy, that if you listen to it more than once... it may get stuck in your head. Forever!

But who can listen to it just once? Eeeeek! 85% Warnickian!

An NSFW reminder about how some beauty isn't even skin deep

Foul Language. Heavy Makeup. Brutal Honesty. Crass speech. And a bit disturbingly low in self-resepect, but rather funny.

Beauty comes in many shades, and some of it is deep and true. And some of it is just paint and illusion that comes off on the washcloth.

The Forbidden Dance of Ferguson!

So not only is "The Late Late Show"'s Craig Ferguson a Doctor Who fan with a Tardis on his desk, but when he had Matt Smith on his show, he and his staff planned to do a musical dance number to "cold open" the show. Then, with the number rehearsed and ready to go, CBS had to cancel the dance with 5 minutes to air. They couldn't get the right clearances for the theme music, and so the dance number remains unseen.

UNTIL NOW. 91 % Warnickian.

200 Posts? Then the word for the day is "Vincerò!"

To celebrate this momentous event, we need something so triumphant, so regal, so very, very operatic.... hmmmm. But what cou- AHA!

1) Put on a jacket and tie. Adapt a cultured attitude.
2) Take a seat on a padded chair. Read this article to show you are classy and know something about great Opera.
3) Play with your speakers turned up LOUD.
4) At 2:44 in, jump up and shout "Bravo! Maestro! BRAVO!" Throw roses if so inclined.
5) Feel better about the future, knowing you will triumph in the end.
